A dark wooden cabinet that sat in storage for years. Christine washed it, sanded it and repainted it in deep pink, then drew a jungle over it in black ink: banana leaves, the head of a big cat watching whoever walks into the room.

This piece is no longer furniture. It is a testimony of transformation.
